Projects

Into the foreseeable future I will be using a series of project updates to show my hobby progress. When I set about a project, I put time and effort into planning and almost always accomplish these hobby goals in stages. The project updates will often include the why and the how for my current projects. They will be linked together to tell a bit of a story as I move from one stage to another. The following are my current projects:

The First Legion project will involve alternating between working on my newly acquired Heresy Dark Angels army and on the 40k Dark Angel army that I have been adding to since the mid-90s.

The Iron Tenth project will detail the small collection I intended to ally with my Heresy Ultramarines, and combine into a Shattered Legion force, into a full scale Horus Heresy army of it’s own.

I started Project Ultramar years ago, and got a significant army painted up for playing, and then promptly abandoned it. Here I will add the other elements I planned to the Land Raider Rush.

Once I planned to make an ally detachment and include the Raven Guard as part of a Shattered Legion army. Then I didn’t. And then I bought a box of marinse and started the Quoth the Raven project.

Future Projects

Below is a selection of projects that are in the works but are lower on the priority scale currently. Coming Soon…

Titans ready to be built: A Warlord, a Reaver and a Warhound. Now I just need to get my butt in gear.

I have an ally detachment in the works so I can justify buying Horus, and to hang out with the Word Bearers.

Another army that started as an ally detachment and part of a potential Shattered Legion army.

I painted an Ally detachment up, but, well, that wasn’t enough, so now I have an army to paint, and two Fulgrims.

I painted up Knights many years ago, never quite finished them, and now I have more. And I want to update the paint scheme…

I always wanted a Tomb King army back in the day. Now I have one. But they still won’t sell me a damn Tomb Scorpion… anyway…

Tyson

Obsessive and neurotic collector of little plastic men, novels about the same little plastic men and paints to make the little plastic men pretty. Married to Kera, who puts up with him and pretends that she doesn’t hear him speaking to the little plastic men in between making pew pew noises in the hobby room. Requires adult supervision. A menace to himself but rarely to others. More beard than man
