Mistpoint

Near the border of the Old World sits a small village with a overly large cemetery often covered in mist

Mistpoint (Village), Central Thylasx region, Queendom of Nodora

Purpose: About 150 or so people live in the Village, built up around a sprawling cemetery and surrounded by fields of crops. It is off-season for their well known festival of the Radiant Dawn, worship of Sollara Goddess of life.

The mayor of this town is literally the angry Goose Bimblebottom, elected by the people of the town, and the council is incapable of much (the goose is general thought to be more effective than the last mayor).

The town is dangerously close to the no-man’s land border to the old World, and this time of year, the mist coming down from the Heartstone mountains is thick and oppressive, which also happens to be the villages only real line of defense.

Points of interest:

The Thirsty Goose seems to always be ripe with activity, especially in the evening. Possibly because it’s the only tavern in the the village. And because its the only decent bed an adventurer can find for quite a few miles. Or it may be that drinking and playing card games is the only thing to do in town if you are want to spend all evening with your spouse or family.

If you are in need for traveling provisions there is no better stop than the Gosling Grocery

The Brazen Borrower Pawn shop still has light streaming through dirty windows manned by Quigley Quagmire the store is only open at night.

Previously occupied by the Blood Wolf Brigade, the Tower of Tribulation is now home to the Guild of Misadventure. It is unknown to the people of Mistpoint and Keatonborough beyond if the new occupants that are garrisoning the old run down keep will defend them when the goblins come around, and how much they will charge for the pleasure.

The Tumblemist River flows down from the northern face of the Heartstone mountains and into

The goose running around screaching at passer bys and biting the unfortunate is Elected Mayor Bimblebottom, the most important goose

Cosntable Erynwright was once a big name in the area, having previously been an adventuring type and was the only survivor of a failed expedition to find the relic Sword of Meadero. The plentiful scars that mar his face and throat show that he did not return unscathed, and is not above using the damaged visage to indimidate those that will make trouble with the locals.

Lord and Lady Goodfellow

Jarvald the Wolf Lord

Quigley Quagmire is a vampire, hence his pawn shop is open during the evening and he has been known to take alternate payments in the past: friendly, but still bloodthirsty, and always ready to take a loan in blood.

Occupying the semi-ruined keep to the south of the village the Tankard the Calamitous is the newly raise commander of the Tower of Tribulation, and is thought to be a formative member of the Guild of Misadventure.

Adventure Hooks:

How is it that the goose that runs the town is the most charismatic individual in the village?

Where is it that several of the village elders get themselves off to in the dark of night?

Why is the population of the cemetery far greater than that of the local living?
