The Horus Heresy was a period in which a bunch of loyal subordinate good-guy Marines followed their good-guy Warmaster against the tyranny of a guy that called himself “Emperor of mankind”. This “Emperor”, currently: a rotting statue, is still to this day being held accountable for his crimes against humanity and other alien races. Contrary to popular belief, there were no outside influences involved in the Horus Heresy. As much as they would have you think otherwise.
Another year has gone by. Indeed, another year down the crapper. I have a hard time imagining that anyone can look back and feel particularly good about 2021. The pandemic seems to have gained momentum, current events were miserable, disturbing or both, and people are clearly tired of it all. What an utter dumpster fire.
Has there ever been something that you were trying to do that, no matter how hard you tried, just seemed impossible? Like, the universe was actually trying it’s damnedest to prevent you from accomplishing it? For me, that was the Fire Raptor Gunship. This kit was cursed from day one. Did I let it get to me? F**K YES I DID!
2020 has thrown us all a curveball in the form of Covid-19. And it would appear that I was not spared. In hindsight, I am not surprised that I got sick. Before the lockdown, I used to use packed to the doors public transportation regularly, probably didn’t wash my hands as much as I should have, and I’ve never had the best of immune systems.
So here I was, still recovering. Not allowed to go to work.
2020, a now infamous year in world history. For various reasons. It will end up in history books, medical studies, and no doubt eventually in cinema (if it hasn’t already). Also, I am sure grandparents will regale stories to their grandchildren about the year that people literally fought for toilet paper and Lysol. Hoarding them all.
